Shameless Copier That I Am....

I loved Kara's Advent Calendar that she posted about here. I thought it was too cute to not do one of my own and so I did! My favorite part? The GLITTER!

Kindergarten Pictures

I love this kid!

Long Time Coming...

This project has been about 4 years in the making. Kara took these awesome photos of Porter when he was about 9 months old. They were part of the Nativity photos that we do every year. I loved how they turned out and wanted to frame them a long time ago. I was going through some stuff the other day and pulled them out and finally decided to get them done. Now I just need to do the same for Walker's and Luke's photos!

You can tell by the complexity of the project why it took me so long to complete :)

Uh Oh.... I think I have another one Kara!

I got pretty excited last spring when I was sure that Walker was finished with his 'Get into EVERYTHING' stage. It didn't last too long but it was bad. I was constantly picking up, sweeping up, vacuuming up, etc... after the kid! I was stoked when he started playing with actual toys instead of food, my crafting supplies, or Kara's canning jars. (Again, so sorry about that Kara. I owe you some new jars and jam!) I just realized today, however, that I may be in for it a lot worse with Luke than I ever was with Walker. He's not even a year yet and look at the messes he's making! That's at least 6 months earlier than Walker started in on it! Should I be worried? I think so!

So which one should I do? Or do they all stink and you think I should start from scratch? If so, give me some ideas! I beg of you!!!

(sigh)...Girl's Night Out...

I am so lucky to have a husband that is so supportive and encouraging that he let's me do stuff like this....

Us ladies had a really fun night driving into Prince George together to eat, visit, and go to the Twilight movie! There really aren't a lot of things that can top a night with food, good friends, and a teenage/vampire/werewolf/ blockbuster. We missed having Jana, Monica and Romaine there with us but don't worry, we'll see it again in a couple of weeks when it comes to Vanderhoof and they had better be there!!! :) I mean, we have to be able to wear our t-shirts more than once right? That's right, Kelli and Kara were spot on about this post from a few days ago. Your prizes are as follows: Kara, I give you the guarantee that you will have your baby before Christmas!!! and Kelli, you get the big prize... if you e-mail me your address I will make a personal, one of a kind Twilight t-shirt for you!!! WAHOOOOO!!!!!

We thought it would be fun to go all out for the premiere so we went with Twilight themed t-shirts! Mike and I designed some fun ones and used iron on materials to create the finished products. I like them all and had a blast picking colors, designs, fonts, and everything else. Take a look and let me know which one is your favorite!

(some of the finished shirts, waiting to be picked up by the ladies!)

(Becky's shirt. It looked a lot better in person. The flash on my camera wasn't working well with the shine of the iron on :( )

(Ruby's shirt.)

(Debbie's shirt. I think this one looked the best aesthetically.)

(Diane's Shirt. I'm just sad she's Jacob fan :)

(This was my shirt!)

(This was Jana's shirt. I think it's my favorite. The 'EDWARD' was actually on the t-shirt in little 'bedazzled' letters that were ironed on after the rest of the design. I just added the white 'EDWARD' to the Photoshop design so I could be sure it would look good together. I didn't get a picture of the finished product. I had planned on getting some photos at the movie and sadly, Jana spent the evening in the E.R. instead of at the movie with us:( )

(Becky, Moi, Diane, Debbie and Rochelle. Ruby didn't make it into this picture :( )

And of course we had to get a picture just outside of the theatre with all of us in our 'fan'pire paraphernalia.

Me and Diane

Diane and Debbie
(While viewing my photos, I noticed that I had a lot of pictures with Diane in them. It must of been because she just looked so cute in her Jacob shirt and fir trimmed coat and boots!)

There were so many people from Vanderhoof at the theatre! I think that probably half the theatre (no exageration) was from Vanderhoof. I got some photos of a few of them...

(Some of my fun aunts and uncles and my awesome Grandma Gulbranson)

(Another Aunt, (Eva) and cousin Kalene)

(My super cute cousin Janae)

The theatre was packed and when we picked up our tickets the ticket guy said that Twilight had broken the record for their entire company chain, for most sold tickets on opening night.... EVER! I think they really underestimated how many tickets would sell because they opened another theater at the last minute to fit more people in! When we came out of the theatre there were huge lines everywhere in the lobby, just waiting to see the next showing. It reminded me of Utah :).

It was a super fun night and I'm excited to go see the movie again. Not because it was THAT good (although it was okay... about what I expected it to be), but because hopefully we can have those that didn't get to see it with us come too. And frankly, I'm just excited for another girls night out!!!

Thanks again for watching the kids honey. But don't worry, I'll be happy to watch the kids next weekend when you sport your shades and Poker face for guys night!

He's Just Like His Momma

While our boys may look just like their dad, at least one of them takes after me!

First Haircut

Luke's hair was getting pretty out of control so we decided to finally cut it. I think it was having to clean food out of his hair after every meal the clinched it for me. That was pretty nasty stuff!

Chicken Curry vs. Mac n' Cheese

Tonight's menu? Chicken curry with potatoes, carrots and onions! Mmmmmm.

I've made it before and the boys seemed to have enjoyed it but apparently things have changed, as made evidence by Walker's dinner prayer.

"Dear Heavenly Father, thanks for our blessings, please help us sleep good tonight and please bless that we can eat mac and cheese instead because it tastes gooder."

I guess he thought it smelled bad enough that he wasn't going to chance it.

Crafting with the Boys

The boys and I decided to have craft time the other day. I pulled out my bin of 'crafty crap' out and rifled through everything. I soon discovered that I need to re-stock! I found some fishing line, pipe cleaners, beads, googly eyes, and my trusty glue gun. This is what we came up with...

Walker and Porter each made a necklace with their names on it.
(Well Walker's said Spiderman, but you get the idea.)

And the pipe-cleaners and googly eyes...

Porter wanted an elephant...

...and Walker wanted a Lion.

LooPYLoos for my Nephews

This is what I made the other night when I was feeling crafty and creative. You can go here to read about the first LooPYLoo that I made for Luke. I'm liking these two better.

And this is where the magic happens. I do all my crafting at this table... LooPYLoos, scrapbooking, costumes, etc... It's a little disorganized but I still love it. I'll have to post a tutorial on how I made the bulletin boards that are holding all of my ribbons. They're pretty easy to make and most of you probably already have made them or at least know how.

A Little Teaser!!!

No time to post it all tonight, but these are for my nephews Gavyn and Max. You'll get the full picture tomorrow (hopefully)!! Plus some fun crafts that me and the boys did today. Be sure to check back!
