Remember When...

I know, I know. Most of you have probably seen this post a million times now since it is circling the blogging world like a bad case of teenage acne. When a friend of mine first posted this I thought it was a great idea. I left a memory I had of her immediately. (It was a good one too! LOL) I thought that I might do something like this but then I started seeing it pop up everywhere and thought, "I'll bet people are getting tired of this by now so maybe I'll just skip it." Then everything changed when my good friend Tasha posted. I had so many funny memories of growing up across the street from her that I couldn't not comment. I did and decided that if you are tired of this post then feel free to not leave a comment. If not... I sure hope that at least a few of you have a memory or two about us together. If not... well, I guess I had better start putting myself out there more and making some memories!!!

Oh, and for a little inspiration I have added a few photos to get the creative juices flowing. Here are some pictures of some of my favorite things from the decades I grew up in. (Well, the last isn't necessarily a favorite but I do enjoy the books. This is just a friendly reminder that the final book in the series comes out this weekend! Have fun reading and for those of you that live nearby, well I won't be planning on seeing you until at least Wednesday of next week, even thought I won't get a copy until the second or third week in August. Happy reading!!!)

What's that you say? This isn't the biggest thing to come out in 2000's? That's not what I heard! :)

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If were only blogging friends write about a post that was the most memorable for you. (and if you usually don't comment leave a comment would love to hear from you too)

2. Next, if you feel so inclined, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you...!

O' Canada

We made it!!! After months of anticipation and two solid days of driving we are finally here! It feels great to finally be here after two years of decisions, paperwork, selling a house etc... We will be really grateful when we are able to move into our own place on Thursday.

We have been really very lucky to be able to spend the last couple of months with the Hurren's (Mike's parents) and we had a great time there. Things went extremely well and the boys loved it but there is just something about being able to have your own place. We will move into our new home in just a few days and we are pretty excited!

The boys are happy to be here and to be able to play with their cousins, Mike is busy working already and I am trying to get paperwork for medical, school registration, citizenship etc... finished. It's going to be a big change and take some getting used to but we are up for the challenge. Of course there are things that we will really miss about Springville... the Hurren family, the warmer weather, my girls (you know who you are:)), the shopping... The list could go on but we welcome the challenges of change and say to the big metropolis of Vanderhoof.... Bring it on!
