Good News

- Appointment with Urologist? Check!

- Blood drawn by a crazy lady that hates Utah because a hotel in the state wouldn't refund her money for a cancelled room? Check!

- Yelled at by Utah hater lady for not wearing a mask because I had 'flu-like' symptoms over a week ago? Check!

- 24 hour urine collection (which must be stored in the refrigerator)? Check!

- Thoroughly embarrassed for having to carry said collected urine around the hospital parking lot and then having to hold it like a pretty little purse until the lab called my number? Check!

Now I just have to wait for my bodily fluids to be analyzed (would NOT want that job!) and then I am on my way to Edmonton to have these dirty little (except not so little) stones blasted!

Yep, I got to choose Vancouver or Edmonton and since Mike's never been to Edmonton we decided to go there.

It doesn't hurt that one can also find the biggest mall in North America in the city.

Do I sense a little Christmas shopping mixed in with the shock wave lithotripsy?

Me thinks so!

(Oh, and that's the good news!)

And in case you've never heard of it...

Here are a few pictures of the mall in Edmonton.

I'm glad that everything is finally getting sorted out for you!! And must I say how jealous I am that you are going to West Edmonton Mall? Very jealous.
As for the crazy lab lady; I think it's the normal thing now a days. I had one tell me I couldn't have my baby here because my doctor is in a different town. My options, according to her, have it in the kitchen or in my car on the way to the hospital. Maybe we had the same lab tech?

LOL! I love the way you write. Sounds like it's been pure hell still for you.....just think though......fun shopping at the biggest mall ever.

Oh.....and did you know.......I use to live in Edmonton. I was the manager of their two Baskin Robbin Stores just after Phase 3 was built. Yeah I know. That was a LONG time ago. HAve no idea what the mall is like now. But I do miss it. I lived my whole life there. Everything under one roof. Never had to go out side hardly ever for anything.

Anyway.....I hope you successfully have a quick zap of those stones and then can get on with your life.

HAng in there!

Have a great adventure in Edmonton - I've always wanted to go to that mall! But, hey, you've earned it. I can only imagine what you will do without those 'nasty critters' in lodged in you! I'm so glad for you. Tell us all about it!

So I thought that only men went to urologists. Who knew they dealt with kidney stones? Good luck with everything and have fun shopping!
